Jamie lived a long healthy life and greatly impacted the lives of many of the student and players he both coached and mentored.
Jamie was the mens head basketball coach at the University of Minnesota from 2020-2057 where he accumalated 15 big ten titles and 6 National Championships. Outside of basketball Jamie enjoyed reading and spending vacations with his wife Annie.
Jamie is survived by his Wife Annie, his 2 sons Aaron and Eric, and his over 1,000 student athletes whose lives he touched.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday June 3rd at Chisago Lakes Baptist Church in Chisago City, MN at 5 p.m. with a dinner to be held after the service.
Wow...103 years old! What a long and happy life you must have led. Your obituary was nicely written and concise. You included details that made me realize what an exceptional coach and mentor you were throughout your life.
